Studio Production Team Member

[Applications close 5.30pm Saturday July 21, 2018]

This is a rare opportunity to work full-time in the photography industry with a dedicated, tight-knit and successful team of AIPP accredited photographers!

We are studio specialists who photograph everything from puppies to pin-ups and create beautiful artworks for our customers. Be warned: Cooper Studio is one of the busiest portrait studios in WA, so there is always a lot to do! That said, we also take time out for great coffee or visiting the not-so-great local pub, and generally we each work only ten days per fortnight.

As a member of the Studio Production Team you will be responsible for all aspects of the accurate and timely production of customer orders, including wall art, print and digital orders. This is a permanent full-time position.

Personal requirements:

You must love and have a burning interest in art in general, and photography in particular!

You must also be organised with excellent time management, literacy and interpersonal skills.

Experience in a similar or related position will be highly favoured.

You will have either formal photography, fine art or design qualifications or you will have high-level self-taught skills along with a diploma or degree-level tertiary qualification in another discipline.

As we often work with animals, it is important that you are comfortable around dogs of all breeds and have no significant canine related allergies.

Required Skills:

Medium to high level digital post production skills on Mac platforms (some on the job training will be provided). Attention to detail and ability to time manage and meet deadlines without supervision. Ability to communicate at a high level in writing and verbally with customers, colleagues and laboratory staff. A burning interest in photography.

Duties:

Career Path:

This position is a gateway to either a photographer position or a production management position with a likely time scale of 18-36 months.

Remuneration:

Starting remuneration will be in accordance with the General Retail Industry Award. This is a full time position with provision for employer paid superannuation and holiday pay accrual.

How to Apply:

Complete the application form below. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview in South Fremantle with the Cooper Studio team. Applications close at 5.30pm sharp Saturday July 21, 2018.
